Twelfth printing (as stated upon copyright page). [6], 121 pages. Hardcover: H 19.25cm x L 12.75cm. Dust jacket soiled; several small faint stains to front panel which has jagged but approximately 1.5cm deep loss across bottom of front panel; shallow chipping and tears at spine head; two small dark stains at tops of both flaps; front flap has tenth printing statement. Blue boards; spine head nicked; vibrant gilt stamping to spine and front board. Past owner's personal bookplate on front pastedown; small shallow stains at center tops of front and rear free endpapers associated to those on dj flaps; ink ownership inscription on title page. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. Else a very good copy in only a fair dust jacket. Features A.A. Milne's classic children's story translated into Latin by Alexander Lenard and retaining the delightful illustrations (including endpapers) by Ernest H. Shepard plus brief Appendix. {JuvLitShelf#2}.
