Dustwrapper complete but for chip with loss to head of spine panel otherwise a firm, clean copy of the first printing of the English translation. Loosely enclosed is an advertisement for the list of publications of the Gaberbocchus press up to 1953 presented as a four leaf satirical letter to 'Lady Celia' with a line drawing endpiece of the Gaberbocchus by Franciszka Themerson. This in near fine state with only very slight toning to the edges.

In all other respects this is a scaled down version (6.5x4.5 inches) of the two earlier editions issued by the Gaberbocchus Press, including the 204 illustrations in the text on yellow paper by Franciszka Themerson. A fine copy in the original oatmeal cloth.
