Paperback. Condizione: Very good. First Edition. First Edition. Paperback. 8 1/2" X 5 1/4". Rubbing, toning, creasing, soiling, and bumps to covers, corners, and edges of paper wraps. Dust-spotting to edges of text blocks. Slight lean to spines of some volumes. Age-toned pages are free of marks and notations. Bindings are sound. An overall solid collection of these 6 issues of Radical America. "Radical America," founded in 1967 by members of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), was a prominent left-wing political magazine that served as an intellectual platform for the New Left movement. It covered a wide range of topics, including labor history, Marxist theory, civil rights, feminism, and anti-imperialism, blending historical analysis with contemporary political issues. Explicitly socialist and anti-capitalist, the magazine challenged mainstream discourse and offered radical alternatives to the existing social and economic order. Notable for contributions from various activists and intellectuals, "Radical America" significantly influenced left-wing thought in the U.S. until its publication ceased in 1999 due to financial difficulties and changing political dynamics. IN THIS SET: -Vol. 7, No. 6: Workers and the Control of Production -Vol. 8, Nos. 1 and 2: Organizing for Revolution in Vietnam -Vol. 8, No. 5: Class Struggle in Britain -Vol. 8, No. 6: Racism and Busing in Boston/Immigrant Workers in Europe -Vol. 9, No. 1: The Current Economic Crisis -Vol. 9, No. 3: African Liberation and U.S. Workers.
