Paper. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: No Dust Jacket. Kneib and her friend Mimi Burton traveled to Spain in 1952 and drove all over the country photographing the people and the landscape. Kneib was a photographer who had studied at UCLA and in New York. Previously, she had taken pictures of Missouri and had them published. After studying with William Mortenson, he encouraged her to produce a book on Spain. But the book never happened ntil recently, the negatives were re-discovered in an old trunk. In this volume the photos are reproduced in black & white, with great care and are printed on one side of each page and include quotes from Spanish authors. My imagination sees these two women in the early 1950s driving through the countryside and snapping these photos. The book itself is quite rare and appears to be brand new. OCLC lists only one copy. Size: Large 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Tall. Spiral Binding.
