His brief essays are accompanied by drawings by the presenter, Alexander King, and with colorful King paintings at frontis and on slipcase, as well as King's introduction. --- In pale yellow marble-look paper-covered boards backed in brown cloth, with gilt-stamped spine titling and on black spine block. Content presented on buff-colored leaves. Volume housed in black paper-covered slipcase with King's painting to one panel, titling and sketch in gilt to another. --- With some dulling to spine gilding, inked numeral to rear paste-down, prior owner's sticker to p.97 and a partially erased front free endpaper gift inscription, else a well-preserved, tightly-bound copy. Slipcase with some sunning and rubbing, but remains structurally sound.
