He was the author of Usonia: Frank Lloyd Wright's Design for America. He grew up in the second Usonian house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Rosenbaum house of 1940 in Florence Alabama. Eric DeLony was an architect and chief of the Historic American Engineering Record, a division of the National Park Service. He was a specialist in American bridge design and construction, especially metal truss bridges.
