A fine original colour lithograph from Vanity Fair, a magazine which was published from 1869-1914, featuring a large caricature portrait each week. These were drawn by various artists, the most famous of whom was Leslie Ward who used the 'nom de crayon' of "Spy". This portrait will come…mounted/matted and ready to frame using archivist quality materials, mount size 18 x 12 inches, 47 x 31 cms. It will be presented in a cellophane wrapper with our label guaranteeing authenticity. We pack very well, between sheets of hardboard. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a portrait of Lord Compton, with the caption "North Bedfordshire". Drawn By Spy (illustratore).

Seddon; and an arrangement by Lord Alwyne Compton. Early Corcoran Gallery of Art book plate, signed by donor, "Presented by Mr. Edward Clark." Edward Clark was a noted American architect, who served as Architect of the Capitol from 1865 to 1902. He completed the Capitol extension project in 1868. Clark was a close friend of William Wilson Corcoran, who founded the Corcoran Gallery of Art and sat on the Corcoran Gallery's board. From the estate of Jim Graham, former Washington D.C. City Council Member (1998-2014). Graham was head of Whitman-Walker Clinic (1984-1999) and a noted gay community pioneer.
