La suite "est une Critique du Dialogue ; elle pourrait bien être du Baron de Lisola, qui était Franc-Comtois" (Lelong, II, 28848 et 28852). L'un des adversaires les plus acharnés de Louis XIV, le diplomate François-Paul de Lisola (1613-1674) dénonça sans trêve les prétentions du Roi de France sur l'Europe entière. Une intéressante description est fournie par Charles Pieters (Annales de l'Imprimerie Elsevirienne, III, 31 et 32), qui attribue en définitive le premier ouvrages soit aux presses des Elseviers, soit aux concurrents d'Amsterdam (Wolfganck ou Boom), et le second aux Presses de François Foppens, à Bruxelles.Le premier chapitre commence ainsi : "Dialogue sur les Droits de la Reyne tres-Chrestienne. Un advocat François s'estant rencontré dans la ville de Bruxelles avec deux Advocats, l'un Flamand, & l'autre Allemend, ils eurent ensemble l'entretien qui suit". Le premier chapitre de la suite commence ainsi : "Suite du Dialogue sur les Droits de la Reyne tres-Chrestienne où se découvre la vanité des Prétentions de la France sur les Pays-Bas. ''Bourzeis a été formé par les Jésuites et devient janséniste à son retour à Paris, sous l'influence du duc de Liancourt, par opportunisme diront ses ennemis (Camusat, p. 155 et suiv.). Camusat, qui accorde une large place aux controverses dans lesquelles Bourzeis a été engagé (p. 137-160), le décrit comme «un des plus francs et déterminés jansénistes» (p. 136). De la soutenance de sa thèse, «Propositiones de gratia» (juin 1649) jusqu'à la condamnation des cinq propositions de Jansenius par le pape Innocent X (mai 1653), B. attaque sans relâche les Jésuites (en particulier le P. Petau en 1649). Il se rétracte en 1653, signe le formulaire et publie, le 4 novembre 1661, une déclaration circonstanciée (Camusat, p. 155). A l'Académie, il est le porte-parole des Anciens contre Charpentier lors de la querelle des Inscriptions en 1671. Ses adversaires ont rendu hommage à son érudition et à son exquise courtoisie, en particulier Charpentier dans sa Défense de la langue française pour l'inscription de l'Arc de Triomphe, publiée en 1672 après la mort de B.
