Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Die Absonderung der organisierten Veteranenkultur von der bundesdeutschen Kulturentwicklung spätestens seit den 1970er Jahren, der enge ideologische Rahmen und die Statik der in ihm vorgetragenen Werte, Haltungen und Orientierungsmuster bieten ideale Voraussetzungen, um die an eine klar umgrenzte Sprechergruppe gebundene Konstitution eines kulturellen Gedächtnisses zu rekonstruieren. Die Analyse von Volkstrauertagsreden und Gesprächen mit ihren Verfassern demonstrieren eine geradezu modellhafte Geschlossenheit der in ihnen vorgetragenen Verständigungsmuster. Die Traditionen der klassisch-epideiktischen Redegattung der Funeralrede und ihre methodische Erschließung durch die rhetorische Topik-Theorie ermöglichen Einblicke in den Leittopos der Kameradschaft, der mit den an ihn assoziierten Memorialtopoi ein kommunikatives in ein kulturelles Gedächtnis zu überführen versucht. Diese Erinnerungsmuster sind nicht notwendigerweise an die Erfahrung gebunden. Als Orte eines artifiziellen, d.h. rhetorisch durchformten Gedächtnisses dienen sie weniger einer konkreten historisch-faktischen Rekonstruktion, als vielmehr der Bewältigung biographischer Schlüsselerlebnisse. So abseitig die fokussierten Quellen (die sich in wesentlichen Punkten von jenen Kriegserinnerungen unterscheiden, die in den literarischen Kanon aufgenommen wurden) auf den ersten Blick wirken mögen, so ergiebig gestaltet sich ihre Untersuchung unter dem Forschungsparadigma der Kriegsbewältigungsstrategien.; Dissertationsschrift.
