24mo, 13.6cm, (in 12's), trimmed, [xx],192p., folding copper engraved frontis portrait view of the author, the upper inner hinge has started but is holding, the folding plate is torn at the gutter edge, lacking rear free fly, in full contemporary but later calf over wood boards, alligator cracking of the leather but sound, wear on all edges but showing the wood board on the bottom front corner, the book is collated in 8vo and is trimmed on all the edges (indicating rebind) without text lost, with the Fraser Institute, Montreal, bookplate, in all a very good copy, rare.(ds1). Wing A-4215. - Provenance: With the original owner's name on the free fly "Gallaway. (Two words inked out), Sept. th 27. (Sic) William Roots, 1696, (and signed again) William Roots.
