Page's beloved Little Cousin Series, introducing young readers to the daily life, customs, and geography of children around the world. Anna C. Winlow's narrative describes rural Chilean life, local traditions, and family structures through the eyes of young characters Julio and Julia. The volume includes a full-page color frontispiece and additional black-and-white illustrations by S. F. Leland, along with a foreword contextualizing Chile's geography and export culture for American children of the 1920s. The dust jacket lists the contemporary Little Cousin and 'Cousins of Long Ago' series, confirming period-appropriate issue. Condition: Book: Very Good. Clean and attractive decorative cloth boards with bright color illustration; light corner wear and mild spine-end softening. Binding sound and hinges intact. Interior pages gently toned but clean overall. Some shallow tidemarking at top edge of endpapers (not affecting text pages). No writing or library markings despite being a 'special reinforced library binding.' Dust Jacket: Fair to Good (scarce in any condition). Significant edge wear, creasing, tears, and losses at corners and spine ends; rear panel and flaps intact; still legible and complete enough to present well in protective cover.
