Belchers on Old Street in Petersburg; the others, which are progress or report cards, are addressed to Annie's father, J. S. Belchers at the same address. Anna Bolling was an assistant teacher at the Petersb…urg High School and became it's principal in 1876. Reading these cards convinces one that she was a most kind and caring teacher. The first card, to Annie on January 15th, 1880: "My dear Child. I was very sorry to hear from the children that you have become sick--hope it is nothing serious, and that you will be at school on Monday. Yours fondly, A. P. B." The others, by way of report cards, are all affirming of Annie -- "one of my best scholars. A. P. B." Referring to a young girl as a scholar was an admirably advanced understanding. Anna Bolling is buried at Blandford Cemetery.
