Originally published in the Punch in 1845 and then reprinted several times in hard covers and paperback. Boards have some light edge wear. Browning to the page edges with a small stain to the tops of the page edges. Browning to the endpapers with a price in pen to the front free endpaper. Small nicks and a little creasing to the bottom corners of the first few pages and the pages are browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. Jacket has been price-clipped and re-priced by the publisher. Heavy fading to the spine. Half-inch closed tear to the top edge of the front panel. Two inch ragged closed tear at the top of the rear panel with another one inch closed tear to the top left corner and a small chip out of the top edge.
