Dieses Konzept wird in der Automatisierungsbranche eingesetzt, einem Bereich, der sowohl von PLC als auch von Enocean Technology stark genutzt wird. Eine speicherprogrammierbare Steuerung (SPS), die als Knotenpunkt fungiert, kann zur Verbindung intelligenter Systeme wie dem STM250-Gerät (Sensor-Transmitter-Modul) verwendet werden. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wird die Beckhoff-SPS-Software TwinCAT zusammen mit Beckhoff-Geräten und Enocean-basierten Geräten verwendet, um ein Smart-Home-Netzwerk aufzubauen. Das Ziel der Masterarbeit ist es, ein Sicherheitsproblem in einer Smart-Home-Umgebung durch den Einsatz von Geräten mit geringen Energiekosten zu lösen, verglichen mit den Kosten für die Wartung eines normalen Alarmsystems durch eine Sicherheitsfirma. Das Konzept eines intelligenten Hauses mit Enocean-basierten Geräten wie STM 250 mit Beckhoff wurde in diesem Zusammenhang verwendet, um die Sicherheit im Haus zu kontrollieren, wenn es zusammen mit einem 8-Kanal-Funkrelaisempfänger verwendet wird. Durch die Smartness aller Geräte nach der Integration kann ein Sicherheitsverstoß über die Systemintegration am PC mit der installierten TwinCAT PLC überwacht werden.
