Numerous black and white photos. Lovely pictorial dust jacket -- quite rare -- shows a sylized bird on flying over an island. Ronald Mathias Lockley (November 8, 1903 - April 12, 2000 (aged 96)) was a Welsh naturalist and author who spent much of his later life in New Zealand.
