Arastirmanin yapilis bicimiyle ilgili onemli bir nokta da, "Demokratik Acilim"in gundeme gelisinin hemen sonrasinda, 7-15 Agustos 2009 tarihleri arasinda bir hafta gibi rekor bir surede tamamlanmis olmasidir. Anket uygulamasinin %10'u uygulama sonrasinda telefonla denetlenmistir. Katilimcilarin etnik koken bilgilerinin de yer aldigi raporda, genel dagilimlarin yani sira Turk ve Kurtlere gore dagilimin nasil farklilastigi ayrintili bicimde gosterilmistir. Arastirmanin ikinci bolumunde acik uclu olarak sorulan "Turkiye'nin en onemli sorunu nedir?" sorusuna verilen cevaplarda, issizlik ve ekonomi basliklari gundemin ilk siralarini isgal ederken, Kurt meselesi ve alakali sorunlara verilen onemin gundelik siyasal atmosferle sinirlandirilamayacak bir bicimde arttigi gorulmektedir. Bunu, "Sizce, Kurt sorunu Turkiye'nin onemli bir sorunu mudur?" sorusuna, katilimcilarin %55,3'unun "evet" cevabi vermesinden de cikarmak mumkundur. Bu cercevede toplum, TBMM'de temsil edilen partilerin cozum yonunde isbirligi yapmasinin (%59,9; 10. soru) veya hukumet ve TSK'nin elbirligiyle devletin butun kurumlarinin cozum yonunde inisiyatif gelistirmesinin (%64,5; 11. soru) gerekli oldugunu dusunmektedir. Ayni sekilde, toplumun buyuk bir kesimi, TSK'nin PKK'yi etkisiz hale getirmesinin (%55,6; 9. soru) veya PKK'nin silah birakmasinin (%51,1; 12. soru) tek basina sorunu cozmeyecegi inancindadir. Bu kesim icin Kurt sorununun cozumu, Kurt sorununun PKK disinda kalan dinamikleriyle yuzlesmekten gecmektedir. Bu da siyaset kurumuna sorumluluk dustugu anlamina gelmektedir.
