Théophile Archambault (1806-1863), bedeutender Psychiater, der als Chefarzt am Hospiz von Tours tätig war, enger Kollege und geistiger Erbe der Schule um Pariset und Esquirol schr…eibt an Pariset mit der Frage, ob er sein Mémoire der Académie Royale de médecine vorlegen soll. Étienne Pariset (1770-1847), berühmter Arzt, Psychiater und langjähriger Secrétaire perpétuel de l'Académie de médecine in Paris. Er war ein Pionier in der Erforschung von Epidemien und der Psychiatrie. "Monsieur et très honoré Confrère J'ai l'honneur de vous transmettre quelques réflexions sur l'inoculation de la Scarlatine, considérée comme moyen de préservation de cette cruelle maladie et que je vous prie de mettre sous les yeux de l'academie Royale de médecine. Cette note est une espece de reponse au travail de M. Miquel d'Amboise. Je me proposois de Lui donner plus de développement, mais l'academie étant appelée à prononcer sur cette question, j'ai cru devoir Lui faire connoitre les observations que j'ai recueillies en repétant les expériences de ce médecin. Depuis longtemps je m'occupe d'un travail sur l'emploi de l'émétique à hautes doses. Longtemps Médecin à l'armée d'Italie, j'ai pratiqué dans le meme hôpital que le Professeur Rasori, et vu naître en quelque sorte, la doctrine du contre-stimulisme. Vingt ans de pratique et de réfléxion me permettent aujourd'hui d'avoir une opinion sur la valeur réélle d'une médication peut-être trop pronée par ses partisans, mais-à-coup sûr aussi, trop déprécïé par ses nombreux détracteurs ! En soumettant mon volumineux mémoire au jugement de l'academie obtiendrais-je un rapport favorable ? J'ai l'honneur d'etre avec une haute Consideration Monsieur et très honoré Confrère Votre très humble et tout dévoué serviteur / Archambault ." Archambault stellt seine Denkschrift zur Inokulation der Scarlatina ausdrücklich als Antwort auf die Versuche des Bretonneau-Schülers Jean-Félix Miquel aus Amboise (Jean-Félix Miquel (? nach 1870) der 1834 im Bulletin de l'Académie royale de médecine einen Bericht über die Inokulation der Scarlatina vorlegte) dar und beruft sich zugleich auf seine lange Erfahrung als Militärarzt in Italien und auf die unmittelbare Bekanntschaft mit Giovanni Rasori (1766-1837), dem Begründer der gegen-stimulistischen Lehre, um seine eigenen Beobachtungen zur Hochdosis-Anwendung von Brechmitteln und zur experimentellen Scarlatina-Prophylaxe gegenüber der Académie royale de médecine als klinisch wie doktrinär besonders gut fundiert auszuweisen.
