Gilt page edges, marbled endpapers, extensive embossed gilt decor to boards. Corners rubbed through otherwise minimal exterior wear. About a third of the book has yellowed paper (first 50 and last 200 pages) and light foxing mostly in page margins. Not severe enough to affect the many wonderful illustrations nor distract from reading the text. Half the text or more is in fine condition. Despite the defects it is hard to find this title in better condition. Tony Johannot, Baron, Français et C. Nanteuil (illustratore). Book.
