This guide did not supercede HQDA or USAEUR guidance but rather consolidated a wide variety of sources into one handy reference. There is a unit protocol section and a personal protocol section. Unofficially nicknamed the "Third Herd", the division was first activated in 1941, and was active in the European Theater of World War II. The interior of the book has photos of some of the places and the actions the 11th Armored Division during the War, along with program information, member information, in Memoriam, Boosters, and much more. The Division was activated on August 15, 1942, at Camp Polk, Louisiana.
