Note: The series presumably paginated continuously; this issue begins on page 21 and goes to page 50 (thus, [29 p.]). There are also many leaves before and after that have various advertisements from the Roycroft community. This listing also includes a receipt (a little bit of provenance) from a bookseller from the 1990s. The small, charming, antique book is in wonderful condition, having incredibly minor shelfwear for its age (including one insignificant pockmark to the cover) and still sporting its original binding, covers, and frontispiece plate of Auguste Comte. Its aged but pristine papers are of various types, some deckle edge, and bound with yellow silk stitches (color of thread is faded on spine, but visible at centre of book). The last leaves are still uncut. It has been lovingly designed with decorations and printed by press, with occasional red letter ink. Extremely well preserved, unfaded ink throughout. The publisher writes: "One booklet a month will be issued as usual, beginning January First. The LITTLE JOURNEYS for Nineteen Hundred Four will be strictly deluxe in form and workmanship. The type will be a new font of antique blackface; the initials, borders and bands designed especially for this work; a frontispiece portrait from the original drawing made at our Shop.Shoy. The booklets will be stitched by hand with silk."
