Hardcover. Condizione: new. Hardcover. This work, created in collaboration with Audi Tradition, provides an illustrated glimpse into Audi Group's depot of historical vehicles, which is not open to the public. At Audi's Ingolstadt headquarters, visitors can tour the "Museum Mobile." However, the spectacular museum showcases only…a small fraction of Audi Group's historical fleet, which is housed in a separate facility normally closed to the public. Audi AG's private depot of historical vehicles includes nearly 1,000 cars and motorcycles, including unique vehicles like prototypes, custom-made cars, and racers. In addition to Audi models, the collection features now-defunct brands like Horch, DKW, NSU, Wanderer, and Auto Union, ancestors of the modern Audi. With this beautifully illustrated book, Audi AG opens its hall doors for the first time and lets you view the fascinating range of its brand history, from the first Horch to the Sport quattro prototype. This volume includes more than 400 images, including new photos commissioned by Audi Tradition and shot by expert automotive photographer Stefan Warner. Also included are vintage photos and artwork from the brand's archive. All of these photos are accompanied by information and essays of the collection's vehicles, providing sharp insight into the history of Audi and its predecessors. AUTHORS: Audi Tradition, an Audi AG department, focuses on preserving and showcasing the brand's rich history, including its predecessor brands, through events, exhibitions, and online resources, as well as offering services for owners of older Audi models. Ralf Friese is a renowned Audi historian and author. His previous books include Four Rings: The Audi Story, Auto Union DKW, and Audi Typenkunde: Audi 100 to Audi R8, among others. Stefan Warter studied photo/film design at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and is a freelance photographer. He has shot photos for several books, combining his passions for photography and vehicles. He lives in Berlin. SELLING POINTS: . A RARE INSIDE LOOK: The Audi Tradition collection is not open to the public. Through the photos in this volume, Audi enthusiasts can get an insightful look at this amazing array of antique, prototype, limited-edition, and racing vehicles. . NEW AND ARCHIVAL MATERIALS: Includes more than 400 images, including new, ultra-high-quality photos commissioned by Audi Tradition for this work. The remainder of the images are vintage photos and artwork from Audi AG's archive. . BRINGING THE PAST TO LIFE: In addition to Audi prototypes, concept cars, racers, and limited-edition models, the collection includes representatives of now-defunct brands like Horch, DKW, NSU, Wanderer, and Auto Union, the legendary predecessors of today's Audi. 400 colour and b/w photos and illustrations This work, created in collaboration with Audi Tradition, provides an illustrated glimpse into Audi Group's depot of historical vehicles, which is not open to the public. Delius Klasing; 2009; 9783768826754; Rilegato con sovracoperta; 28,5 x 23,5 cm; pp. 367; A cura di Audi Tradition. Volume illustrato a col.
