Mit vorliegender Edition werden erstmals alle vorhandenen Überlieferungen zu den Wiener Konstitutionen in einem Werk zusammenfassend dargestellt sowie diesbezügliche Sekundärliteratur kritisch hinterfragt. Da die Wiener Konstitutionen bislang nur in ungedruckter Form vorlagen, wird mit dieser Publikation eine schon längere Zeit beklagte Forschungslücke in der rezenten Ordenshistoriographie geschlossen.
