Aggiungi al carrelloLarge 4to. 13¾ pp. on 11 ff. Hitherto unknown manuscript about the Viennese Wurstelprater: "Sie spielt die Ouvertüre 'Wilhelm Tell' von Rossini. Und den Zigeunerchor aus dem 'Troubadour'. An kühlen Sonntagen spielt sie auch 'La Traviata'. Sie hat den Prater überlebt. Vielleicht wurde sie 1898 zusammen mit der Grottenbahn eröffne…t [.] Der Wurstelprater, auch Volksprater genannt, wurde 1766 eröffnet. Sein großes Jahr war 1872. Die Wiener Weltausstellung, dann folgten Börsenkrach, Ringtheaterbrand, Mayerling, der erste und der zweite Weltkrieg [.] Theodor Herzl schrieb 1896: 'Der Wurstelprater hat gewiss seine große Zeit hinter sich'. Die Orgel spielt immer noch [.] Im Kino spielens an Film mit zwei Komiker, die schon lang tot sind. Glei daneben spielens an Frankenstein. Der lebt aber noch. Geh ma zu die Spielautomaten. Man gwinnt eh nix, aber die Zeit vergeht. Zum Blumenschiassen hab i a ka Lust. Für wen denn? Wass i wo die Katzen sind. Dabei is gar net so kalt. I brauch no lang kan Mantel. Möcht wissen für wen sie das Riesenrad draht. Es is eh niemand da [.]". - In pencil, with numerous autograph corrections and insertions. A small tear to the lower edge of the first leaf.
