Unpaginated softbound, perhaps 120p., a deluxe catalogue on alkaline semi-gloss paper, illustrated from fullcolor exhibit photographs of titles, texts and covers, a lovingly put together treatment based on a collection of Postel's numerous scarce writings - he a would-be reformer of Roman Catholicism, interested in mu…ltiple religions, especially Judaism and the Cabala. He was an early scholar of Arabic. Item is securely fastened into blank 10.5x6.5 inch white wraps with a printed decorated dust jacket. The front panel of dj has sustained a three-inch scratch, one inch of which has perforated and shows a bit of the blank white cardstock beneath; this scratch reveals itself quicker to fingertips than to the eye. An otherwise entirely sound copy, perfectly clean and unmarked. Quaritch catalog no. 1343.
