Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Mia Meyer wurde 1894 auf einem Bauernhof im Dorf Beverbeck bei Bienenbüttel geboren und durchlief dort die einklassige Volksschule bis zum Besuch einer Berufsschule für Mädchen in Hamburg, den sie wegen Erkrankung der Mutter abbrechen musste. Schon früh zeigte sich ihre Begabung, in kleinen Gedichten und Geschichten die Ereignisse in ihrer Familie und Umgebung festzuhalten. Sie heiratete 1925 den Ingenieur Hermann Meyer und zog mit ihm aus beruflichen Gründen nach Beeskow/Mark. Nachdem sie ab 1922 in Beverbeck Texte für die Freunde und Familie geschrieben hatte, veröffentlichte sie 1926 erstmalig in Beeskow in der Tageszeitung und im Kreiskalender fast zehn Jahre hindurch eine Vielzahl an Gedichten und Erzählungen. Weihnachten 1930 fasste sie ihre plattdeutschen Gedichte in einer Sammlung für ihre Eltern zusammen und 1932 ihre hochdeutschen Gedichte als Privatdruck im Sammelband 'Feierstundenträumereien'. Fast alle diese Texte sind bis heute in ihrer Heimat unbekannt. Diese Lücke schließt nunmehr der SPUREN-Band 19.
