It is concluded that if the UK leaves the EU, the resulting economic shock would risk adverse effects on macroeconomic variables such as foreign trade, inflation, employment levels, interest rate, aggregate supply and demand, trade creation and diversion, balance of payments, balance of trade, term of trade, depreciation of the pound sterling, rising consumer price index (CPI) and reduction in the standards of living in the UK. What impact might Brexit have on the union of the state and on Scotland's future. What could be the consequences for the UK, the EU and the USA of the referendum have also been explored in depth. It has therefore been concluded that it is not in the best interest of the UK to leave the EU. Advantages of remaining in the EU far outweigh the disadvantages. The 'Better Together' proposition holds good in this scenario also. 64 pp. Englisch.

El objetivo principal de este estudio es evaluar…las ventajas y desventajas de que el Reino Unido abandone la UE. Se concluye que si el Reino Unido abandona la UE, la conmoción económica resultante podría tener efectos adversos en variables macroeconómicas como el comercio exterior, la inflación, los niveles de empleo, el tipo de interés, la oferta y la demanda agregadas, la creación y la desviación del comercio, la balanza de pagos, la balanza comercial, la relación de intercambio, la depreciación de la libra esterlina, el aumento del índice de precios al consumo (IPC) y la reducción del nivel de vida en el Reino Unido. Qué impacto podría tener el Brexit en la unión del Estado y en el futuro de Escocia. También se ha estudiado en profundidad cuáles podrían ser las consecuencias del referéndum para el Reino Unido, la UE y los Estados Unidos. Por lo tanto, se ha llegado a la conclusión de que al Reino Unido no le conviene salir de la UE. Las ventajas de permanecer en la UE superan con creces las desventajas.
