Soft cover. Condizione: Good to NF. Assorted (illustratore). First. 55 numbered pages, illustrated with photos. 1891 on the title page, includes the elusive panorama of Lake Winnepesaukee in the front, 22" long x 9" tall which is often removed to frame. I have seen it many times thus over the years. This one is in near fine condition with a short tear at one of the publishers folds andf will look very nice framed. Contents remain clean and complete, covers are quite wirn and stained. I rarely say this but this example will be better as a clipper for the lake scenes and of course the Panorama due to the poor looking covers.

This book chronicles the history of the Board of Agriculture, established in 1870, over two decades, summarizing agricultural practices and knowledge. The author's firsthand experience offers a vivid glimpse into the farming techniques of the era. Beyond simply recounting past events, the book delves into the theoretical and practical developments that shaped agricultural science. Not merely a historical record, the book also explores the interdependence of agricultural science and farming practices. The author emphasizes the value of collaboration between the Board, the Grange, and other organizations, suggesting that the exchange of ideas was critical to advancing agricultural understanding at the time. The book argues that theoretical discussions and practical applications are mutually reinforcing, enhancing the development of both agricultural science and on-the-ground farming practices. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
