En fer-ho, lobra perfila un paisatge polièdric i en moviment i ens mostra al llarg de la seva lectura com sentreteixeixen els diferents plans de la interpretació de la història del monacat i de la història de les dones. Sense abandonar una forta perspectiva holística en la comprensió de com incideix i dialoga la comunitat amb el seu entorn immediat al llarg de la seva existència, lenfocament daquest llibre ens deixa entreveure al mateix temps de quina manera Sant Joan de les Abadesses ajuda a elucidar el paper de les dones en una història general del monacat.
