These were in addition to the 22 known at the time (5 Platonic solids, 13 Archimedean solids, and 4 Kepler-Poinsot polyhedra). He is also famed for his work in geology and for being the mathematical advisor to Jules Verne. He is described on the title page of this memoire as 'ingenieur des mines' Badoureau presented this memoir to the Academie des Sciences in November 1878. An extract was published in the same year but this is the first edition of the full work. Tessellations involving star polygons were first described in this paper. Baudoureau also describes 37 of the non-convex uniform polyhedra. The original blue paper covers have been used on a hardcover binding with a bulbous navy spine. Slight browning to page edges.
