      Aquarelle signée en bas à gauche, 8.7 x 12 cm, (1911), encadrée. Léon BAKST (1866-1924) est un peintre, décorateur et créateur de costumes russe. Il travailla en Russie où sa carrière de décorateur de théâtre commence en 1902 pour une chorégraphie de Marius Petipa, au théâtre du ballet impérial de Saint-Pétersbourg. En France, il est surtout connu pour sa collaboration avec Serge DIAGHILEV et les ballets russes dont il est à partir de 1912 le directeur artistique. Il travailla alors avec notamment Stravinski et Nijinski (Bénézit, vol. 1, pp. 391-392). Au milieu d'une campagne verdoyante, se détache un Datcha à l'esthétique Russe.
