Wear shows this copy was used for instruction.

This is an Original, complete issue of 16 pages dated March 4, 1854 -- Vol. 6, No. 9 -- Illustrated with wood cut engravings -- Pages are tight, nice condition, slight water stain around edges -- This Publication has one of the most Ornate Mastheads, with a wood cut engraving of Boston Harbor covering one third of the Front Page, depicting many ships in the Harbor -- The Front Page has a large engraving accompanying an article titled "Farm Scene For February" -- Page 132 has two engravings, one titled "The Egyptian Museum, At Paris", the other titled "Michigan Great Central Railroad Depot" -- Page 133 has three engravings titled as follows: "The Bourbon Royal Museum, At Naples", "Moritz Retzsch" and "The Balin Aeniceps Rex" -- Pages 136 & 137 have a double page centerfold engraving titled "The Collins' Fleet Of New York And Liverpool American Mail Steamers" -- Page 140 has two engravings, one titled "Marshal Marmont, Duke Of Ragusa", the other "Charity Fair, At Paris" -- Page 144 has three engravings by Frank Leslie accompanying an article titled "Fashions For The Month" -- Many articles related to these engravings as well as other articles and stories -- We store and ship each Gleason's Pictorial issue in a large zip lock plastic sleeve with a board insert for stiffness. They are shipped flat and never folded or rolled up.
