Il nous raconte le théâtre vivant de ses journées : le porcelet devenu la raison de vivre d'un marginal, le papy venu la veille de Noël pour le dernier sommeil de son vieux chat et reparti avec un animal en pleine forme, la jument qui s'éteint doucement sous un arbre, le hamster qu'une fillette de 6 ans vient faire soigner à l'insu de ses parents. Il n'y a pas d'heure pour un vétérinaire. A 2 heures du matin, il se rend, sans discuter, dans une cour de ferme. Il n'y a pas non plus de limites à l'absurde et à l'émotion dans les histoires qu'il raconte, toutes véridiques et parfois drolatiques. Il faut bien sûr aimer les animaux pour exercer ce métier.
