Im Einzelnen: Neue Verfahren zur Sprachstandserhebung im Kindergarten (LiSe-DaZ von Schulz/Tracy/Wenzel), im Elementarbereich (Oomen-Welke) auch in Hinblick auf die Erstsprache Türkisch (Uzunta?) und in der Sekundarstufe I (Cantone/Haberzettl) werden vorgestellt. Dimroth präsentiert empirische Befunde zu altersspezifischen Unterschieden im frühen Zweitspracherwerb; daneben finden sich Studien zum kindlichen Genuserwerb (Jeuk), zu lokalen Präpositionen und anderen Raumangaben (Lütke) sowie zur Metalexik (Kuyumcu). Grießhaber diskutiert allgemeine Bedingungen des Spracherwerbs; Wieler, Adybasova und Schader beleuchten verschiedene Aspekte der familialen Voraussetzungen. Knapp et al. gehen der Frage nach, wie man Sprachlernsituationen mit Hilfe von Videoaufnahmen am besten in Hinblick auf ihre besondere Förderqualitäten analysieren kann.
