Por consiguiente, el presente estudio tiene por objeto examinar la eficacia de la educación en materia de gestión de desechos sólidos llevada a cabo por el proyecto GCPFEE. Se empleó una técnica de muestreo aleatorio simple para elegir el tamaño de la muestra del estudio. Los cuestionarios y la guía de entrevistas fueron los instrumentos utilizados principalmente para reunir los datos. También se reunieron datos secundarios para la investigación a través de Internet y de boletines informativos. La mayor parte de los desechos sólidos producidos en la comunidad está compuesta por polietileno y bolsas de agua de saco vacío. Los hogares individuales recogen y eliminan sus propios desechos sólidos. Se descubrió que los desechos sólidos se eliminaban mediante la quema y el enterramiento en el vertedero local. Se desconocía la cantidad de desechos generados por los encuestados, ya que éstos tenían poca o ninguna idea de la cantidad generada. 68 pp. Spanisch.

Therefore this study is to examine the effectiveness of solid waste management education carried out by the GCPFEE project. A Simple random sampling technique was employed in choosing the sampling size of the study. Questionnaires and interview guide were the tools mainly used to collect the data. Secondary data for the research were also collected from internet, and newsletters. Majority of solid waste produced in the community is made up of polythene and empty sachet water bags. Individual households collect and dispose their own solid waste. It was found out that solid waste was disposed of through burning and burying at the local landfill site. The quantity of waste generated by respondents was not known, since the respondents had little or no idea about the amount generated. 76 pp. Englisch.

Daarom is deze studie bedoeld om de effectiviteit van het onderwijs in vast afvalbeheer, uitgevoerd door het GCPFEE-project, te onderzoeken. Bij de keuze van de steekproefgrootte van de studie werd een eenvoudige random random random sampling techniek gebruikt. Vragenlijsten en een interviewgids waren de instrumenten die voornamelijk werden gebruikt om de gegevens te verzamelen. Secundaire gegevens voor het onderzoek werden ook verzameld via internet en via nieuwsbrieven. Het grootste deel van het vaste afval dat in de gemeenschap wordt geproduceerd bestaat uit polyethyleen en lege zakjes water. Individuele huishoudens verzamelen en verwijderen hun eigen vast afval. Het bleek dat vast afval werd verwijderd door verbranding en begraving op de plaatselijke stortplaats.
