Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm "High Fidelity" (mono) vinyl record album, UAL 4114, near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus cardboard jacket (marked down from "near-mint" thanks to faint PON in blue ballpoint near top of front panel.) Jacket rear panel shows four B&W photos of Sean Connery, each with an individual damsel, three of whom look spunkier than his co-star here, Daniela Bianchi, the Nembutal Nazimova. The largest image shows Bond with Martine Beswick, costumed as "Zora the fiery Gypsy girl." Cover designer Jack Kaufman clearly grasped immediately who would have been the more energetic choice. Beswick went on to grapple with more prominent roles in "Thunderball" (1965), "One Million Years B.C." (1966, opposite Raquel Welch), and "Prehistoric Women (1967) (a k a "Slave Girls of the White Rhinoceros"), while Bianchi's brief film career after this entry was to prove . . . not terribly memorable.
