Original publisher's cream paper dust jacket with titles and decoration printed in gray to front panel, matching the titles and decoration stamped to the cloth on the front cover; four closed edge tears measuring 1-1/8", 1-1/4", 1-5/8" and 4"; chips to the head and tail of spine and to the fold corners; additional short closed edge tears and overall minor darkening and spotting. Original publisher's two part cardboard box with paste label to box top with titles printed in black; all sides broken at the corners; two sides missing from the top. Plain endpapers. [10] leaves. The illustrated title page and all text and illustrations are printed on thin Japanese paper tipped on to heavier bound sheets; the illustrations are photogravures from photographs of children re-enacting Mother Goose rhymes; offsetting to the mounting page versos; minor spotting to a few leaves.
