Jacob Bartsch, médecin, mathématicien et astronome (1600 - 1633) soutint son doctorat à Strasbourg, et y enseigna par la suite les mathématiques, au Gymnase. Exemplaire incomplet du frontispice gravé et de deux cartes du ciel ; seules sept planches, dont 5 dépliantes, ont été conservées. Rousseurs. II. : Willems 503 : Nouvelle édition, très augmentée. "Nous avons cité à l'année 1626 la première édition, imprimée à Franker par Uld. Balck. Celle-ci, qui est très augmentée, a été revue par D. B. Fullenius, professeur de mathématiques à l'Université de Franeker. Elle a été imprimée "Franekerae, ex officina Ulderici Balck, comme le portent les faux titres placés devant les parties 3, 4 et 5 de la Géométrie Metius" (Willems). Avec 3 planches dépliantes et de nombreuses figures gravées sur bois. III. : Deuxièmes éditions pour les deux titres, augmentées, illustrées de nombreuses gravures sur bois dans le texte. IV. : Le manuscrit est dû à un certain Hans Ulrich Ulinger, celui-là même qui a réuni le recueil factice que nous présentons, et dont on retrouve le nom sur la page de titre de l'"Arithmeticae de Metius" (les autres traces du nom de Ulinger ont été effacées, découpées). Ce dernier (1642-1713) a été prêtre à Zürich. Le manuscrit, dont nous n'avons pas su déterminer s'il s'agissait d'une ?uvre originale ou d'une copie d'un texte connu, comporte un schéma et un croquis. Intéressant ensemble. 1624.
