Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Fair. First Edition. First Edition, 1954. Wehman Publishers stamp on Title page. No markings in text. Tight binding. Jacket in Fair condition with tears, in mylar protective sleeve. Written and illustrated by Basil Rakoczi (1908-1979), an English artist of Hungarian and Irish extraction. As he states on the last page of this book: "The writer of this book admits himself to be an addict of the Tarot cards and a lover of the Gypsies. He cannot resist a reading of his cards by every seer whom he meets. Nor does he fail to buy every pack of fortunetelling cards that has new variations in the symbols. Reader of many books of philosophy and psychology, he admits that he yet finds more truths revealed concerning human nature in the Painted Caravan than in all the great libraries of the world." Historic Oklahoma Bookstore on Route 66. Packages shipped daily, Mon-Friday.
