Hardcover w/ Jacket. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. This 5.5 x 8.25 inch, 303 page hardcover book with jacket is the first edition of this title as shown by the 1955 date on both the title and copyright pages. The book itself is in near fine condition with the yellow cloth covers bright and clean and the dark blue design and lettering virtually as new. There is just a touch of wear to the bottom edges and just a hint of sun-browning to the top of the front panel. The interior shows some penciled notations on the ffep and three spots where pieces or tape were placed on the ffep and two of them were later removed and left their impression, and one piece of tape is still present and browned. Beyond that the text block is in at least near fine condition and probably better. On the rear pastedown remains a bookstore's sticker, Roman's, Pasadena. The dust wrapper is in good condition although it shows considerable wear. There is a one-and-a-half by one-and-a-half inch piece missing from the spine foot of the wrapper and further chipping and two tears around the jacket's edges and at the folds. The author herself was an accomplished angle and in this book she takes us on a journey through our human past as we have always sough to catch for our enjoyment and sustenance. (See pix) 303 pages.
