Remarkably clean and well preserved with just a very trivial blemishes. Taken from the 1950 edition of this map showing the District Line to Richmond running vertically rather than diagonally, parallel to the river (1951). The Festival of Britain was a post war national moral booster initiated by Herbert Morrison and designed to showcase the country's achievements across the board of science and the arts, centred on the South Bank of the Thames in London.
