Aggiungi al carrelloOriginal 1/4 leather with plain boards. 72 pps. The first leaf of text (pp. 3-4) are defective, with more than half of the leaf missing. Photocopies of these pages are laid in. The leaf with pages 7-8 is also torn with the bottom outside corner missing, with a small amount of text missing. Contains many songs from the War of 1812. Another edition, with identical bibliographic information, has a completely different title page illustration and typeset. This issue has a crude, and somewhat muddled, illustration of a family sitting around singing. The other state has an Illustration on the title page of a woman sitting at a piano while looking away to the left. Also, page 70 is totally different from the other state, with this issue having the end of "Yankee Doodle" at the top (this appears to have been the correct printing of this page). The other issue has the song "Hark! the Goddess Diana" at the top, though this appears to have been printed in error. American Antiquarian Society has one copy of this songster listed (lacking pp. 5-8) but it is unclear which of the two different illustrations is on the title page.…
