Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book offers the first comprehensive biography of Dr. Karl Barth, an influential physician in mid-nineteenth century Bavaria, Germany, whose contributions to the field of beekeeping were enormous. The author traces Barth's life from his childhood fascination with nature to his university studies and medical practice. It was during his time in the field that he became deeply immersed in the study and advancement of beekeeping. Through an account of his life's work, the author highlights Barth's significant role in the formation of Germany's first beekeeping journal and his contributions to advancements in the understanding of the life of bees. A must-read for scholars of apiculture and historians of science alike, this biography provides an in-depth exploration of the life of a pioneer in the field. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
