The study indicates that the amount of land holding is positively related with t…he adoption of new technology especially those which are costly. Secondly the friends kins and neighbours influence such adoption. The influence by institutional sources is still marginal. Further the behaviour of tribal farmers in adoption of technology is not much different from that of non tribals. The study also indicates that the farmer in small category has responded well like the large ones because their economic status has allowed them to test the new technologies. The study also shows that higher number in packages is higher the rate of adoption. It can be argued that as the number in the packages increases the cost of the packages escalates. Therefore the marginal farmers allege against the costly practice. 105 pp.
