Possibly of most interest to us in this age of digital media are the ads, with (for us) surprisingly lengthly backstories used to sell mouthwash, linoluem flooring, tooth paste, giving us a glimpse into an age when people had time to read. The May, 1934 issue of Good Housekeeping magazine represents Jessie Willcox Smith's final magazine cover for this, or any peridocial. In failing health, she died twelve months later.
