A bit of spotting to covers and corners. PO name to title-page. Overall wear, but a nice copy despite any issues. Jacques Offenbach was a musical prankster with a conductor's baton-an immigrant cellist who turned Paris into his personal stage and laughter into a serious art form. With melodies that sparkle like champagne and satire sharp enough to nick the Second Empire's polished veneer, he transformed opera from a temple of grandeur into a playground of wit, parody, and irresistible rhythm.
