Questa installazione presentata per l'ingresso principale del Museo si caratterizza fin dalla sua concezione per un ambivalente gioco di parole: nella sua etimologia anglosassone "stairing" è l'azione di guardare ma anche di salire la scala. Maggini propone un dialogo con il grande pannello di Alberto Burri, posto esattamente di fronte, e con lo stesso visitatore che viene coinvolto nella visione e nella percezione dell'opera, accolto dal materiale, la ceramica, che rappresenta il focus delle raccolte stesse del Museo. Il visitatore viene dunque avvolto da un flusso creativo, in contrasto con la severità razionalista dell'architettura dell'ingresso, un flusso vitale espresso dalle tonalità cromatiche impiegate, in un dichiarato contrasto che diviene dialogo tra generazioni, tempi, storie e materiali.
