A unique early signature from the future President, with a unique connection to the Whitewater controversy. Wooten Epes was the agency director of the Arkansas Housing Development Finance Authority, appointed by Governor Bill Clinton in 1983. He was ensnared in the Whitewater Controversy and compelled to testify before congress about political influence and large donations to the Clinton Campaign, in exchange for loan consideration from the Arkansas Housing Authority. Inscribed by Bill Clinton as Attorney General of Arkansas in 1977, the first edition of Capital Punishment: The Inevitability of Caprice and Mistake by Charles L. Black Jr. (illustratore). Signed.…
