Black hardcovers, 8"x6", gold lettering and fleur-de-lis on spines, small blue logo on front covers, no publication date but research suggests 1898. In general, covers have slight wear and lightly soiled by use, page edges lightly s…oiled, interiors clean and unmarks, binding sound, pages have very slight warp as if was once briefly exposed to humidity (not musty, no foxing). Also, cover ov volume 8 has old insect damage on the upper inch of both sides of hinge, vol 6 has name on rear endpaper and a little scribble on front endpaper, front cover of volume 3 has 1.5" of oldl insect damage along hinge. Satisfactory to fill in missing volumes for a complete set for reading purposes.
