Prima edizione
Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. NY: Hardware Poets Theater, 1963. 20pp. Sewn in printed wraps. Wraps rather toned, with some soiling. Contents clean. About very good. Brief collection of poems making witty and ironic commentary on various poetic tropes. Bloedow one of the founders of Hardware Poets Theatre, an avant-garde performance venue featuring plays, films, poetry readings, etc.; he also co-edited, with Diane Wakowski, the associated little mag Hardware Poets Occasional. A scarce publication from a somewhat overlooked New York literary scene, whose publications receive no note in Clay and Phillips' A Secret Location on the Lower East Side.

Prima edizione
Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. Lovely copy of this third issue of The Hardware Poets Occasional, a poetry and literature journal edited by Jerry Bloedow and Diane Wakoski, both of whom contribute pieces here. David Antin contributes a poem entitled "a cure of the ground" - derived from and a response to Wallace Stevens' "The Poem as Icon" Ruth Krauss with an excerpt of her play "There's Some Ambiguity Among the Bluebells", which would not be published in book form for another 4 years. Also with an ad for a Jazz Happening organized by the Hardware Poets, ostensibly a performance featuring "14 clowns and a xylophone", and contributions from Ted Enslin, Kathleen Frazer, Margaret Randall, Harry Lewis, Allen Katzman, Rochelle Ownes, and George Economou. Book in custom mylar jacket. From the collection of a tobacco smoker, with attendant tanning to spine and a very faint aroma of smoke within. Occasional spots to covers, mild shelfwear. Crisp and unmarked pages with a sound binding. Scarce.
