Edges chipped and rear flap damp stained. The poems are printed in Spanish on versos followed by English translation rectos. A great Association Copy. Bly, alongside William Duffy, co-founded the influential literary magazine The Fifties (later The Sixties). Barnstone actively contributed to this literary circle, and the two exchanged editorial correspondence and publications during this fertile period. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY EDITOR.

Plain endpapers. 61 pp. Pages are slightly aged, free of markings. Trakl was German and committed suicide at the age of 27. His poems fill the reader with mental images, mostly of nature. Bly and Wright edited and translated poems from the German and both present short essays on Trakl and his work. German and English text face each other throughout. A rare book.
